Have to walk about 5 to 10 min for food. Or you can go to stall next to hotel selling seafood porridge. Its good Nothing much eg night market at night but convenient stores are nearby Hotel name in chinese is correct but in english it is called Queen Hotel....cant really remember the exact name

What was the highlight of Li Duo Hotel

Value-for-money hotel.

The staff, especially Miss Hwang at the counter and Madame Tan at the breakfast section were very helpful, pleasant and friendly. They were ever ready to provide info and advice when asked, and they make you feel at home. The location is superb as there are nice food stalls, fresh market, mid-sized supermarket and train station in the vicinity. The rooms were renovated recently and are very clean.

There isn't any kettle in the room, though there is hot water vending machine on alternate floors. So it is inconvenient when you need hot water during the cold winter nights.

The first room that was allocated for us was uncleaned and not ready for us. We were very disappointed.

The name of hotel was in Chinese.It was very confusing. There was English version but it did not match with the name ,,li duo hotel''.

A good stay in a nice city !

A traditionnel Tawanese hotel. Not very beautyful, rather ugly, no "soul" or fashion style, but in fact it's exactly what you need, excellent location, good staff, huge bed, typical breakfast, nothing to worry you, quiet even it's near a market (good window), nothing perfect but everything good, good price... What else for a good stay is this wonderfull city ?

The staff is friendly.

The room was not clean enough for me. There were stains on the fitted sheet. And I think they used too much perfume(?) in the air, the smell made me a little dizzy.

What was the highlight of Li Duo Hotel

Li Duo – lots to dislike apart from breakfast

We booked in at Li Duo Hotel situated along Zhongyi Road (Section 3) for 2 nights. The room was basic with a nice and hard double bed. Room 6007 has a window but not much of a view as it overlooks the adjacent building. Buffet breakfast was freshly cooked and adequate if you like Asian congee with minced pork stew, fried vegetables and other condiments. Western offering was standard bread, butter and jam with coffee or tea. Tainan does not have a subway system but we managed to get around by the tourist bus (No 99 or 88). You can catch these buses from Chihkan Tower (Fort Provintia) along Minzu Road (Section 2) which is a short 7 minute walk away from Li Duo Hotel (550m). Free wifi works well in the room.

The bathroom can get wet and messy as there is no shower curtain or separated shower cubicle in Room 6007. Generally the room is very old and dated. Towels and bathroom accessories need to be renewed and refreshed. There is no way to adjust room temperature as air conditioner is centrally controlled. There was no specific area to place our luggage in the room.

Nothing

The whole property sucks. Insanely over-prices. You will not be able to sleep because the room is windowless, no fresh air. The only way you can breathe is turning on the air con but you have no control over temperature not fan speed as it has only one switch for on and off. Terrible experience. Feeling like you are cheated.
